Reaching Out - Christ Church Missions

Christ Church "Reaches Up, and Reaches Out - To Christ and For Christ" with a dedicated group of disciples involved in mission. We assist individuals in need and support local programs including those that minister to families, the homeless, youth and children, those seeking help with substance abuse , and those with other crises or needs. As we address practical needs, we also witness to people in an effort to show how Christ's love and grace can transform their lives in a powerful way.

In addition to the many local efforts to reach out to those in need, we also represent Christ Church United Methodist "on the road" in other states and, in our connection to the United Methodist Church, throughout the world.

Christ Church participates in these missions and more:

  • Fire House
  • Urban Ministries
  • Imani
  • Back-To-School Supplies
  • Mission Camps (Children & Youth)
  • Mission Trips
  • Christmas Adopt-A-Family
  • Oak Mountain Ministries
The destruction from Hurricane Katrina is far from gone, but forgotten by most. Our Hurricane Relief teams need your help. There are still 50,000 people living in FEMA trailers. Please plan to go on one of the relief mission trips. Conditions for relief workers have improved.

You will be helping others, but the rewards will bless you many fold. Check out these Slides. Contact Leon Johnston (988-0838) or Max Hooper (991-0496) for more details.
