KITCHEN CLASS
George Griswold leads this intergenerational group of people striving to meet the world with the Bible in one hand and the news of daily events in the other. The Kitchen Class was the first Sunday School class at Christ Church and first met in the kitchen. They have retained their name, reflecting the centering of lives in the home, around the work of life feeding and ministering to others. Visitors and new members are always welcome. |

What We Study
We try to study everything the person can use as a tool in making better their relation to Christ and fellow human beings: Old & New Testament, Apocrypha, generational communication, Faith, Prayer, Stations of the Cross, other Denominations & Religions in depth, daily news, Trinity, Methodism, science, Disciplines of Faith, parables and a series on miracles of Jesus. All the while, we are discussing, differing, sharing, learning, sorrowing and celebrating our fellowship and our commandment to serve.
Social Gatherings
We fellowship periodically over shrimp (or other for non-swimmer eaters) and delicacies from our diverse backgrounds. We dine and skate (or watch) at a rink during Christmas holidays. We gather in houses and at restaurants and any other place we can to sit and come to know others and ourselves over a bite, a simple communion with friends while basking in the love and work of God.
Military Mission Project
The Kitchen Class has taken on a project to send a copy of the daily devotional booklet, "Strength for Service" to military service men and women on our CCUM prayer list. And, we will remember these servants in our prayers.
If you know of anyone actively serving in the military and would like to have him or her included on our prayer list and receive a copy of this devotional, please complete the form below.
