DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT CELEBRATE RECOVERY?
JOIN US WHEN CR BEGINS ON FEBRUARY 29.

God created us to receive healing and hope in community. We see that lives are changed through Christ-centered fellowship with others who have dealt with similar life issues. Are you at the point where you want to experience God’s healing in your life? Celebrate Recovery ® (CR) can bring that healing and hope.

We believe you will find at Celebrate Recovery ®: a safe place to share, a place of belonging, a place to care for others and be cared for, a place where confidentiality is highly regarded, a place to learn, to grow and become stronger, a possible turning point in your life.

There are Eight Recovery Principles used in Celebrate Recovery ®. These principles are based on the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-10):

Realize I’m not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable.
Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.
Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.
Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to someone I trust.
Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others.
Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.
Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.

We’ll be here every Friday night, beginning March 7. A meal is served at 5:30 pm in the Celebration Café (lobby of Church Activity Center); at 6:30 pm there is a Large Group Session meeting for everyone in the upstairs Youth Area; at 7:30 pm smaller groups meet for Open Share. There is fellowship, desserts and coffee at 8:30 pm. Also the children’s ministry - CR® Kid’s Fantastic Friday is available for children whose ages are nursery through 5th grade from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Your children can join you for dinner and then have a fun time with other children.

Won’t you join us on March 7 to learn more? Please call the church if you have questions or concerns, 205-991-5065.
